Seville wears her best dress in spring to welcome the vivacious Feria de Abril. Hundreds of paper lanterns light up its characteristic ochre-yellow streets.

Elegant carriages driven by majestic horses and expert coachmen with broad-brimmed hats twist and turn endlessly, offering fair-goers a sight to see in itself. The flamenco music slips away from the striped-canvas tents and fills the air, tempting you to join in on the fun. These makeshift tents, or casetas, are owned by the wealthiest families in Seville, and entering is upon invitation-only. Wear your best outfit and our local host will do the rest.

Get ready to dance around brightly colored flamenco dresses inspired by Gypsy fashion, and raise a toast with a glass of rebujito, a typical Feria sherry cocktail.
